Air Marshal Yalla Umesh Assumes Charge as 39th AOC-in-C of IAF Maintenance Command

Air Marshal Yalla Umesh has taken over the charge of the Maintenance Command of the Indian Air Force as the 39th Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C), effective December 1, 2025, succeeding Air Marshal Vijay Kumar Garg who superannuated on November 30; Air Marshal Umesh, who was commissioned into the Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical) Branch and previously served as Director General (Aircraft) at Air Headquarters, brings diverse engineering and leadership experience across major combat, transport, and specialist fleets.
