Mr. Raj Kumar Goyal (IAS: 1990 batch, Union Territory (UT) cadre), an officer with extensive administrative experience, is being sworn in as the new Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) of India by the President of India on December 15, 2025; as the head of the Central Information Commission (CIC), he will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and ensuring compliance with the provisions of the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005, across all central public authorities.
