The Government has announced the promotion of two senior Indian Information Service (IIS) officers to top-tier administrative grades. V. Narayanan has been elevated to the rank of Principal Director General (PrDG), the highest level in the service hierarchy. Simultaneously, Rajiv Kumar Jain has been promoted to the post of Director General (DG), AIR News (All India Radio), where he will oversee the national broadcaster’s news operations and editorial direction.
