The Government of Madhya Pradesh has cleared the promotion of 15 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers from the 2017 batch to the rank of Deputy Secretary. Following the decision of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), these officers—many of whom are currently serving as CEOs of Zila Panchayats or in specialized municipal roles—will officially assume their new selection grade posts on January 1, 2026. This move is part of a larger year-end administrative restructuring in the state involving over 70 IAS officers across various seniorities.
