In a clear signal of administrative accountability, the Government of Madhya Pradesh has excluded three IAS officers—Santosh Kumar Verma (2012 batch), Tarun Bhatnagar (2012 batch), and Rishi Garg (2013 batch)—from the recent Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) list. While dozens of their peers were promoted to the rank of Additional Secretary, these three officers were sidelined due to ongoing vigilance inquiries and integrity concerns. Most notably, the state has recommended the dismissal of Santosh Verma to the Central Government following a high-profile controversy involving forged documents and derogatory public remarks.
