The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has formally approved the appointment of Mr. Saleem Ahmad as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL). Currently serving as the Director (Projects) at NBCC (India) Limited, Mr. Ahmad was the top choice recommended by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) following a competitive selection process involving ten high-profile candidates. He succeeds Pradeep Gaur, who retired in August 2024, and will lead the Navratna PSU during a critical phase of its domestic and international rail infrastructure expansion.
