The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Coal to entrust Sajeesh Kumar N with the additional charge of Commissioner (Joint Secretary level) of the Coal Mines Provident Fund Organisation (CMPFO). A 2002-batch IRTS (Indian Railway Traffic Service) officer, Mr. Kumar currently serves as the Coal Controller. This additional responsibility is for a period of six months, or until a regular incumbent is appointed, or until further orders. This move ensures administrative continuity at the CMPFO headquarters in Dhanbad during a period of significant digital and welfare reforms in the coal sector.
