In a significant administrative move, the Government of Telangana has appointed Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, a distinguished 1992-batch IAS officer, as the Special Chief Secretary for Metropolitan Area & Urban Development (HMDA Limits). This high-profile appointment relieves Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, who was previously holding the post as a Full Additional Charge (FAC). Mr. Ranjan, who has been a pivotal figure in Telangana’s industrial and IT growth, is now tasked with steering the urban planning and infrastructure development of the Hyderabad Metropolitan area.
