In a significant elevation within the Indian Navy’s technical leadership, Vice Admiral Vikas Chawla has assumed the critical role of Assistant Chief of Materiel (Dockyard & Refit) at Naval Headquarters, New Delhi. Following his promotion from the rank of Rear Admiral, Vice Admiral Chawla will now oversee the maintenance, refitting, and modernization of the Navy’s vast fleet. An alumnus of the National Defence Academy (NDA), his appointment brings a wealth of experience in ship production and indigenous naval technology to the heart of naval administration.
