Mr. Anupam Anand, a senior 2000-batch IAS officer of the Gujarat cadre, has been appointed as Joint Secretary at the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (IN-SPACe) in Ahmedabad. This high-level appointment is a strategic move to strengthen the administrative and regulatory framework of India’s burgeoning private space sector. Moving from his responsibilities within the Gujarat state administration, Mr. Anand will now play a critical role in bridging the gap between the government’s space ambitions and private sector participation.
