In a significant high-level appointment, Mr. Shatrujeet Singh Kapoor, a 1990-batch IPS officer of the Haryana cadre, has been appointed as the Director General (DG) of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). Mr. Kapoor, known for his rigorous administrative style and tenure as the Director General of Police (DGP) in Haryana, now takes charge of one of India’s most specialized mountain-trained paramilitary forces. His leadership comes at a time when the ITBP is undergoing rapid modernization and infrastructure expansion along the high-altitude Line of Actual Control (LAC).
