GUWAHATI — The Government of Assam has ordered an immediate administrative reshuffle involving the state’s civil services, officially reallocating the portfolio of Mrs. Nibedita Borthakur.
An alumnus of the Assam Civil Services cadre (ACS DR-21), Mrs. Borthakur has been divested of her responsibilities within the state’s electoral machinery and reassigned to a key rural development administrative wing.
New Administrative Mandate and Portfolio Change
The latest posting shifts the officer from specialized election management to regional rural governance and panchayati raj administration:

Previous Assignment: She was serving as the Election Officer in the Darrang district, managing local electoral rolls, administrative logistics, and statutory compliance under the Election Department.

New Posting: Her services have been officially transferred and posted as Assistant Commissioner at the Commissionerate of Panchayat & Rural Development (CPRD), Assam.
