PARIS — Global market research giant Ipsos has announced a series of major leadership appointments to accelerate its global Horizons strategic plan. The restructuring focuses heavily on driving internal transformation, scaling automation, and deploying Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize data delivery times across international markets.
Accelerating the 48-Hour Data Turnaround Mandate
Under the new executive framework, Alexandre Guerin has been appointed as the Managing Director – Performance. In this high-profile role, Guerin will join the Executive Management Committee and report directly to global Chief Executive Officer Jean Laurent Poitou.
Guerin’s primary strategic objective is to institutionalize operational speed, ensuring that a vast majority of Ipsos market research studies are fully processed and delivered to clients in under 48 hours.
Guerin transitions into this role following a highly successful five-year stint as the Country Manager of Ipsos in France, where he notably masterminded the complex corporate integration of BVA in 2025. His extensive career also includes corporate footprints in the United States as Chief Client Officer and a tenure as the CFO of Operations.
Operational Realignment Across Europe
To foster tighter integration across the continent, Ipsos has structurally integrated its French operations into the broader EMEA region. This has triggered key leadership successions:
-
France Leadership Track: Laurent Depouilly succeeds Guerin as the new Country Manager of Ipsos BVA in France, reporting directly to EMEA CEO Shane Farrell. Depouilly, who joined the firm in 2010, previously served as the Country Manager for Switzerland, where he stabilized profitability margins. His new mandate focuses on aggressive commercial growth and post-merger market positioning.
-
Switzerland Leadership Track: Marion-Anne Cattaneo has been elevated to replace Depouilly as the Country Manager of Ipsos in Switzerland, also reporting to Shane Farrell. Having joined the Group in 2015, Cattaneo previously headed core business units across France and Switzerland, including Innovation and Market Strategy & Understanding. She is tasked with expanding local client acquisition and supporting Swiss-based international accounts.
The Group’s top leadership emphasized that these strategic internal promotions are engineered to deploy agile, tech-forward operating models capable of keeping pace with enterprise-level AI transformation.
