HYDERABAD – Shri K. Ramakrishna Rao, the seventh Chief Secretary of Telangana, is set to retire from service on March 31, 2026. His retirement comes upon the completion of a landmark seven-month extension granted by the Central Government in 2025.
Rao, a 1991-batch IAS officer (previously widely cited as 1988-batch in some official records during his appointment), has been a pivotal figure in Telangana’s administration, particularly known for his fiscal expertise.
