NEW DELHI — The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has approved the lateral transfer of senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Amitendra Nath Sinha (2002 batch, Odisha cadre) from Inspector General (IG) in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) to Inspector General in the Border Security Force (BSF).
The lateral movement completes his sanctioned five-year central deputation tenure, extending through July 10, 2028.
