PATNA — Senior IPS officer Preeta Verma has been assigned additional charge as the acting Director General of Police (DGP) of Bihar after the incumbent police chief proceeded on official leave.
The temporary appointment maintains administrative leadership while the state government completes the formal selection process for a permanent police chief.
