MUMBAI — Tata Motors Limited has announced a major leadership transition, appointing DP Nambiar as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective May 29, 2026. The move follows a series of strategic personnel shifts approved by the Board of Directors on May 13.
New Leadership Appointments

DP Nambiar (CHRO): Nambiar joins from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), where he currently serves as Vice President and Head of HR for Geographies and Corporate Functions. He brings nearly 30 years of global HR leadership experience across India, the USA, and Europe.

Ranjan Kumar (Company Secretary): Effective June 1, 2026, Kumar will take over as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer. He joins from SKF India Limited, with over 25 years of expertise in legal, secretarial, and corporate affairs.
Key Resignations and Transitions
The appointments come as several senior executives transition to new roles within the broader Tata Group:

Sitaram Kandi: Outgoing CHRO, resigning effective May 28 to transition to another Tata Group entity.

Sudipto Kumar Das: Resigning as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer effective June 1, also moving to a different company within the group.
These changes were finalized following recommendations from the company’s Nomination and Remuneration Committee to ensure seamless leadership continuity across Tata Motors’ corporate and HR functions.
