NEW DELHI — Acclaimed television journalist and chat show anchor Richa Anirudh has resigned from Kadak, the digital video platform owned by Network18 Media & Investments.
Anirudh, who joined the digital property as a consultant in August 2025, has cut short her tenure due to personal reasons. While her consultancy agreement was scheduled to run through July 2026, highly placed industry sources confirm she tendered her resignation on May 30 and is currently serving out her official notice period.
Speculation of Internal Realignment
During her stint with Kadak, Anirudh fronted the platform’s flagship talk show, Unkahi, bringing her signature empathetic interviewing style to the digital-first audience.
While her exit from Kadak is locked in, media circles are buzzing with speculation that she might not leave the broader network entirely. Highly placed sources indicate discussions may be underway for her to transition into a new, alternative prime-time role within the larger Network18 broadcasting umbrella, though official confirmations are still awaited.
A Legacy of Impactful Journalism
Richa Anirudh remains one of the most recognizable and awarded faces in Hindi television journalism. Her career trajectory spans across major inflection points in Indian broadcast media:
-
Television Roots (2002–2005): Began her mainstream career with Zee News as a reporter and anchor before moving to Channel 7 in 2005 (which later rebranded as IBN7 and subsequently News18 India).
-
Zindagi Live Phenom: Rose to national prominence as the anchor of Zindagi Live, a critically acclaimed social talk show that won multiple industry honors and established her reputation as a powerhouse host.
-
Audio & Digital Ventures (2014–2025): Diversified her media footprint by hosting leading radio shows on Big FM and independently scaling her highly successful personal YouTube channel, Zindagi with Richa, before being pulled back into the corporate newsroom by Network18 last year.
Her impending transition marks another chapter of shifting talent dynamics as legacy network groups continuously realign their digital and linear broadcast assets.
