CHANDIGARH: In a major administrative development, the Punjab government has appointed Sanjay Gupta, a 1988-batch retired IAS officer and the outgoing Chief Secretary of Himachal Pradesh, as the new Chairperson of the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC). The official appointment orders were formally issued by the Governor of Punjab.
