MUMBAI: In a significant move to ensure continuity in India’s banking regulations, the Central Government has officially re-appointed Swaminathan Janakiraman as the Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). The extension will be effective for a period of two years, starting from June 26, 2026.
