NEW DELHI — In a strategic move to sharpen its regional focus and deepen monetization streams across public sector portfolios, NDTV has appointed industry veteran Shailesh Hegde as National Revenue Head for NDTV Marathi and Government Sales.
Hegde, who announced his appointment via a professional update on LinkedIn, brings a distinguished track record spanning more than 18 years in media sales. His extensive background covers critical positions across some of India’s top broadcast networks and print publication giants, including The Indian Express, Zee Telefilms, Sony Entertainment Television, Star News, and ABP News Network.
Before making the move to NDTV, Hegde served a short stint as Business Head at Jai Maharashtra News. Prior to that role, he spent over a decade at ABP News Network, driving revenue growth and managing major commercial partnerships across key regional and national sectors.
The strategic appointment highlights NDTV’s continued push to expand its regional footprint—specifically through its dedicated language vertical, NDTV Marathi—while strengthening its leadership team to capture a larger share of state and central government sales and advertisement revenues.
