SINGAPORE — Senior technology executive Sandhya Devanathan has announced her decision to step down as Vice President & Head – India and South East Asia at Meta, ending a distinguished stint of over nine years with the social media conglomerate.
Devanathan, who made the announcement via a LinkedIn post, confirmed she will take a short break before transitioning into her next global leadership role.

Tenure and Growth: Having joined Meta in 2016 when its regional office in Singapore comprised around 300 employees, Devanathan played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s footprint across Vietnam, Singapore, and the broader Asia-Pacific region.

Diversified Portfolio: Over her tenure, she headed Meta’s regional gaming division for APAC and led key e-commerce initiatives. She was elevated to lead Meta India in late 2022 before taking on combined leadership for India and Southeast Asia.
