MUMBAI — The Maharashtra Government has announced a fresh round of administrative realignment, issuing transfer and posting orders for three Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across key departments and divisions in the state.
The updated assignments take immediate effect across strategic administrative portfolios:
-
Sanjay Khandare (IAS: 1996): The senior bureaucrat has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary (Forest) in Mumbai, taking charge of environmental policy and forest management state-wide.
-
Sanjay Yadav (IAS: 2009): Transitioning into a pivotal economic sector, he has been posted as the Secretary (Tourism) in Mumbai to oversee state promotional and tourism infrastructure initiatives.
-
Vaishnavi B. (IAS: 2019): Bringing administrative oversight to regional governance, she has been named the Additional Divisional Commissioner for the Nagpur Division.
The state administration routinely executes bureau relocations to optimize governance delivery, reinforce departmental leadership, and manage regional development frameworks across Maharashtra’s key urban and administrative hubs.
