NEW DELHI — In a major administrative assignment within the country’s public health apparatus, Varnali Deka, a 2009-batch Indian Administrative Service officer from the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, has been posted as Joint Secretary in the National Health Authority.
The official directive, issued by the Department of Personnel and Training under the Department of Health and Family Welfare, places Deka on a combined five-year central deputation tenure running through August 28, 2030, or until subsequent official instructions are released.
