NEW DELHI — The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension in temporary upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
The post is currently held by Nitesh Kumar Vyas, a 1996-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre. Under the approved mandate, the upgraded rank for the position will remain effective for a extended term up to November 07, 2027.
