AMARAVATI – In a significant administrative move, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has issued orders for the transfer and posting of several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. The reshuffle, aimed at strengthening the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA), was formalized through G.O.RT.No. 793, dated April 18, 2026.
The orders, issued by Chief Secretary G. Sai Prasad in the name of the Governor, take effect immediately.
Key Appointments to APCRDA
The primary focus of this administrative order is the reinforcement of the leadership at APCRDA. Three officers have been assigned to roles as Additional Commissioners:

Sri Kollabathula Karthik, IAS (2020): Previously serving as the Joint Collector & Additional District Magistrate of Nandyal District, Karthik has been transferred. His services are now placed at the disposal of the Municipal Administration & Urban Development Department for his new posting at APCRDA.

Sri G. Surya Sai Praveenchand, IAS (2019): Currently the Joint Managing Director of AP TRANSCO, Praveenchand has been given Full Additional Charge (FAC) of the post of Additional Commissioner, APCRDA.

Smt. Pedditi Dhatri Reddy, IAS (2020): The CEO of the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) and Ex-Officio Deputy Secretary to Government (RTG), Reddy has also been assigned Full Additional Charge as Additional Commissioner at APCRDA.
Interim Arrangements in Nandyal
Following the transfer of Sri Kollabathula Karthik, the State Government has directed the Collector & District Magistrate of Nandyal to make necessary in-charge arrangements to fill the now-vacant post of Joint Collector & Additional District Magistrate in the district.
