The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Mr. Asit Gopal as Special Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Textiles. A senior 1990-batch Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, Mr. Gopal brings decades of administrative experience to this crucial financial oversight role. His appointment is expected to bolster the ministry’s strategic planning and fiscal management as the Indian textile sector targets aggressive global export goals and infrastructure upgrades under the PM MITRA scheme.
