NEW DELHI — The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has sanctioned the elevation of two 1994-batch Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes) officers—Rakesh Goyal and Rajeev Yadav—to the rank of Chief Commissioner / Director General on an in situ basis.
Goyal, who has a residual tenure running through December 2029, and Yadav, whose service extends until December 2028, will officially assume charge of their promotional posts in the coming days. The in situ promotions upgrade the officers’ posts, retaining their expertise within the central revenue administration framework.
