CHENNAI — The Government of Tamil Nadu issued transfer and posting orders for two senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers on Thursday, restructuring key administrative and state vigilance assignments.
Sandeep Rai Rathore (IPS: 1992: TN), who was serving as Director General of Police, Prisons and Correctional Services, has been transferred and posted as DGP/Chief Vigilance Officer, Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO), Chennai.
In a parallel movement, Sanjay Mathur (IPS: 1994: TN), Director General of Police at the office of the DGP and Head of Police Force (HoPF), Chennai, has been appointed as DGP, State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB), Chennai, following the temporary upgrade of the post to DGP rank.
