NEW DELHI – The Government of NCT of Delhi’s Services Department has issued a sweeping transfer and posting order affecting 23 high-ranking IAS and DANICS officers with immediate effect. The directive, identified as Order No. 182 and dated May 8, 2026, was issued under the authority of the Lt. Governor of Delhi to streamline key administrative functions across the capital.
High-Level IAS Reassignments
The reshuffle involves 12 senior IAS officers, many of whom are taking on dual responsibilities in critical sectors like Public Works, Health, and Vigilance:

Additional Changes and Divestments
The order, signed by Deputy Secretary (Services) Jitendra Kumar Arora, also divests several officers of their previous charges to accommodate the new appointments. This includes Shri Bipul Pathak (IAS), Shri D. Varma (IAS), Shri Mekala Chaitanya Prasad (IAS), and Shri Amol Srivastava (IAS), who are relieved of various additional responsibilities. Furthermore, the designation of Shri Navlendra Kumar Singh (DANICS:2006) has been formally modified to Spl. Commissioner (GST).
