The Central Government has appointed senior Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE) officer Sumit Garg as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA).
Functioning under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, the IEPFA oversees key investor protection initiatives, fund administration, and financial literacy campaigns nationwide. Garg’s appointment extends his central deputation for a total combined period of seven years, concluding on August 31, 2029.
Garg transitions to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs from the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), where he was serving as General Manager (EP) on deputation.
