MUMBAI — Textile and synthetic yarn manufacturer Banswara Syntex Limited has announced that Jagdeesh Mal Mehta has ceased to be a Non-Executive Independent Director of the company, effective upon the completion of his second consecutive tenure.
Under applicable provisions of the Companies Act, 2013, and SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR), independent directors are limited to serving a maximum of two five-year terms. Having served out his statutory tenure, Mehta’s departure marks a planned board transition. The company will update its board roster and committee structures accordingly.
