NEW DELHI – In a significant administrative move, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has ordered the immediate transfer and posting of two high-ranking Indian Police Service (IPS) officers within the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory) cadre.
The official order, issued from Kartavya Bhavan-3 on May 13, 2026, was released with the approval of the Competent Authority. The changes are to take effect immediately and will remain in place until further orders.
Key Appointments and Transfers
According to the memorandum (No. 15041/03/2024.UTS.I), the following shifts have been finalized:

Sh. Ravindra Singh Yadav (IPS, AGMUT: 1995): Currently stationed in Delhi, Mr. Yadav has been appointed as the Director General of Police (DGP) for the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Sh. Hargobinder Singh Dhaliwal (IPS, AGMUT: 1997): Serving as the DGP of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Mr. Dhaliwal has been transferred back to Delhi.
