BENGALURU — In a significant top-level exit, Ashish Kumar Singh, the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of e-commerce major Meesho Limited, has resigned from his position.
According to an official SEBI regulatory filing submitted by the company on June 25, 2026, Singh tendered his resignation from his services as CHRO and Senior Management Personnel. The e-commerce platform has not yet disclosed the specific reasons for his departure or announced a successor to take over the human resources portfolio.
A Journey From Startup to IPO
Singh joined Meesho in 2020 when the firm was primarily operating as a social commerce startup. Reflecting on his six-year journey in a emotional LinkedIn post, he noted the massive transformation the company underwent during his tenure.
“Six years ago I joined Meesho — a startup with a bold bet that social commerce could unlock e-commerce for Bharat. Today, as I close this chapter, it’s a large, publicly listed company that has touched hundreds of millions of lives across India,” Singh shared.
Backed by Deep Industry Experience
Before his impactful stint steering the workforce strategy at Meesho, Singh built a robust reputation as a veteran HR leader. His extensive professional background features leadership roles across prominent corporate giants and digital ecosystems, including:
-
E-commerce & Tech: Myntra and Adobe
-
Healthcare & Consumer Goods: Medlife, Hindustan Unilever, and Reckitt Benckiser
The departure comes at an evolutionary juncture for Meesho, which has successfully transitioned into a publicly listed entity targeting deep e-commerce penetration across India’s Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets.
