NABANNA, HOWRAH – In a dual-move administrative reshuffle, the Government of West Bengal has transitioned its top bureaucratic leadership. Following the appointment of Manoj Kumar Agarwal as the new Chief Secretary, a formal notification issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms has confirmed that Shri Dushyant Nariala, IAS, will be moving to a key national role.
A New Role in the Capital
Shri Dushyant Nariala, a 1993-batch IAS officer who previously served as the Chief Secretary to the Government of West Bengal, has been appointed as the Principal Resident Commissioner of the West Bengal government in New Delhi.
The appointment is highly significant as Nariala will hold the rank of Additional Chief Secretary (in the APEX Scale), ensuring that the state maintains high-level representation and coordination with the Central Government in the national capital.
