NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Australia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Senator Penny Wong, to advance the India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The high-level bilateral meeting coincided with New Delhi hosting the Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, serving as a key platform to reinforce deep diplomatic and security alignments between the two democracies.
During the dialogue, both leaders mapped out future collaboration metrics across critical defense, commercial, and technological corridors.

Concurrently, the Australian Foreign Minister co-chaired the 17th India–Australia Foreign Ministers’ Framework Dialogue (FMFD) with External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar to finalize implementation timelines for the newly established regional security and maritime surveillance pacts.
