NEW DELHI — The Ministry of Railways has announced a key leadership transition at the Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation Ltd. (IRCTC). Shri Rahul Himaliyan, the current Director (Tourism & Marketing), will step into the role of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) on an interim basis, taking on additional responsibilities alongside his current portfolio.
This corporate shift follows the resignation of the sitting CMD, Shri Sanjay Kumar Jain, which was formally approved by the Competent Authority. The official Railway Board directive, dated July 16, 2026, confirms that Shri Jain will step down and be relieved of his duties on July 20, 2026.
