MUMBAI – The Government of India has officially approved the re-designation of Shri Dinesh Hariram Mate, IA&AS (2012), from Deputy Secretary to Director level in the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS), Mumbai.
The decision, communicated via a Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) memorandum on February 5, 2026, elevates his current role as Deputy Director General within the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways.
