NEW DELHI — In a major diplomatic reassignment, senior diplomat Soumendu Bagchi has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to Switzerland.
A 1993-batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer, Bagchi currently serves as India’s envoy to the Republic of Iraq. He is expected to take up his new assignment in Bern shortly, succeeding current diplomatic leadership.
