NEW DELHI — The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has appointed senior diplomat Ajay A. Kumar as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Iraq.
Kumar, a 2001-batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer, currently serves as Joint Secretary within the Ministry of External Affairs. He is expected to take up the assignment shortly, succeeding current diplomatic leadership in Baghdad.
