Anamika Singh (IAS: 2004 batch), an officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre who was currently serving as the Food Commissioner, has opted for Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS); it is reported that the officer, who has previously held a significant responsibility in the NITI Aayog on central deputation, was unhappy after the state government reportedly refused to grant her a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) for a fresh central deputation posting, leading to her decision to seek VRS.
