Rajesh Kumar Agarwal, currently the Executive Director (Finance) at Power Finance Corporation (PFC), has been recommended for the position of Director (Finance). The selection was finalized by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) during its meeting held on January 28, 2026. Agarwal emerged as the top choice from a highly competitive pool of 11 candidates interviewed for the role. His appointment is seen as a move toward leadership continuity at a time when PFC, a Maharatna CPSE, is playing a pivotal role in financing India’s green energy transition and power sector reforms.
