UDHAMPUR — Lieutenant General MP Singh, AVSM, YSM, SM, has officially taken over as the Chief of Staff of the Indian Army’s Northern Command, assuming administrative and operational support leadership at the frontline military command headquartered in Udhampur.
A highly decorated officer, Lt Gen Singh brings extensive operational experience in high-altitude environments, counter-insurgency warfare, and border management to the critical theater command.
