IMPHAL — Senior bureaucrat Rajeev Singh Thakur, a 1995-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the Rajasthan cadre, has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Manipur.
The decision was formalized following approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for an inter-cadre deputation, clearing the way for his strategic deployment to the Northeastern state.
