PATNA — In a mid-year administrative alignment, the Government of Bihar has ordered the immediate transfer and posting of seven Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. The reshuffle reorganizes key secretariats, housing development, and field administrations across the state.
Notably, the state government has also cancelled a previously issued transfer order for an Indian Ordinance Factories Service (IOFS) officer currently on deputation.
Key Secretarial and Departmental Postings
The reshuffle shifts several mid-career officers into crucial operational roles within state ministries:

Sanjay Kumar (IAS:2014): Moves from his position as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at the State Election Commission to take over as Additional Secretary, Town Administration and Housing Department.

Mukesh Kumar (IAS:2014): Vacates his post as Competent Authority in Gaya to assume charge as Director, Treasury.

Akhilesh Kumar Singh (IAS:2015): Transferred from his assignment as Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat (Patna) to serve as Additional Secretary, Agriculture Department.

Manoj Kumar Rajak (IAS:2015): Relieved of his dual responsibilities as Additional Secretary, Youth & Sports and Town Administration & Housing, to take charge as Additional Secretary, Employment and Skill Development.
